History[]
Fonejacker first aired on the 9 May 2006 as a one-off pilot made for Channel 4's Comedy Lab. Due to the success of the pilot a whole six episode series was commissioned, prior to the first series airing a Christmas Message aired in December 2006 which had a message at the end which advertised the first series. Although due to be first aired in April 2007, the programme was put on hold and eventually aired between July and August 2007. Fonejacker returned later in the year for a Christmas Special. A second series had been commissioned and it aired between September and October 2008. In April 2010 instead of a third series a similar series was made, called Facejacker.
